General NY Kids Club Policies

  • We are a shoeless facility. All adults must wear socks in the facility. Socks may be purchased at the front desk for $1.
  • Infant siblings may be brought to adult participation classes in a baby carrier. Older siblings who are not in a baby carrier will not be allowed into class.
  • A limited number of strollers are permitted in the facility for our infant and baby classes only. These must be stored in the stroller parking area. For independent programs, please leave strollers outside during drop-off.
  • No food, drinks, or gum are permitted in the gym or classroom areas.
  • We are a NUT FREE facility. Please refrain from bringing lunches, snacks, or consuming foods containing nuts while on-premises.
  • All parents, caregivers, and children are expected to conduct themselves in ways that do not threaten the safety or well-being of other parents, caregivers, and children.
  • The NY Kids Club Wellness Policy, which states that children showing any signs of illness including but not limited to a runny nose, cough, vomiting/diarrhea or fever may not participate in programs at the NY Kids Club. The New York Kids Club reserves the right to deny a sick child participation in classes or open play sessions.
  • All employees, parents, caregivers, and children must follow the posted and verbal instructions provided regarding COVID-19 related precautions. These requirements may change over time.
  • The NY Kids Club is not responsible for any items lost or stolen on the premises of the location.
  • Children enrolled in independent participation classes or preschool must be picked up promptly. The fee for late pick-up is $25 for every 15 minutes that the authorized pick-up person is late. This amount will be charged to the credit card on file. The maximum charge will be $300.
  • The NY Kids Club Wellness Policy, which states that children showing any signs of illness including but not limited to a runny nose, cough, vomiting/diarrhea or fever may not participate in programs at the NY Kids Club. The New York Kids Club reserves the right to deny a sick child participation in classes or open play sessions. If a child has a fever of 100°F or higher, they may not return until the fever has been gone for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication.

Refund Policies

Fall/Spring Classes

Students are entitled to a full refund, less a $50 cancellation fee and the cost of classes that have taken place, prior to the end of the third week of the semester. Should you choose to take a NYKC credit, the cancellation fee will be waived. No refunds or credits will be given after the third week of the semester. Refund requests must be submitted in writing and must include the child’s name, the adult’s name, the details of the program being cancelled, and the reason for the cancellation.

Fall/Spring Mini-Semester Classes

Students are entitled to a full refund, less a $50 cancellation fee and the cost of classes that have taken place, prior to the end of the first week of the semester. Should you choose to take a NY Kids Club credit, the cancellation fee will be waived. No refunds or credits will be given after the first week of the semester. Refund requests must be submitted in writing and must include the child’s name, the adult’s name, the details of the program being cancelled, and the reason for the cancellation.

Summer Classes

NY Preschool 2023-2024: Preschool Prep, 2s, 3s, and 4s

NY Preschool tuition is due either (a) in full, or (b) in three installments*. The first installment is due prior to February 5th, 2024 for the forthcoming school year. The second installment is due on February 5th, 2024, and the third is due on May 5th, 2024. A late payment charge of 2% of any overdue balance will be assessed on an account that is 30 days or more in arrears. A 3% convenience fee is added to all payment plans. All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable to other programs or families.

Select Locations offer a monthly payment plan. Please inquire with your home location about the type of payment plan offered. When paying in monthly installments, 1/3 tuition is due at the time of registration. The remaining monthly installments will be charged on the 28th of each month beginning September 28, 2023, and ending May 28, 2024. A 3% convenience fee is added to all payment plans. All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable to other programs or families.

Full Year Programs

Full year programs can be either paid in full or in 3 installments, or in monthly installments.
When paying in 3 installments, the first installment is due prior to February 5th, 2024 for the forthcoming school year. The second installment is due on February 5th, 2024, and the third is due on May 5th, 2024. Fall Only Programs

Semester-based programs are to be paid in full prior to beginning the program. All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable to other programs or families.

Winter/Spring Only Programs

Semester-based programs are to be paid in full prior to beginning the program. All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable to other programs or families.

Afternoon Club 2023-2024

Afternoon Club and Academy Programs may be paid in full, or via monthly installments. If choosing to pay in installments, first and last month’s payment is due at the time of registration and serves as a non-refundable deposit. The remaining monthly payments will be charged on the 28th of each month. Any changes in account information or termination of recurring payment authorization must be submitted in writing at least 30 days prior to the next billing date. Families choosing to pay in full will receive a 3% discount on their tuition. Refund requests must be submitted in writing and must include the child’s name, the adult’s name, the name of the program being canceled, and the reason for the cancellation. Families are eligible for refunds sans the pro-rated cost of any classes and a $100 cancellation fee per day of program registration.

Summer Camp

Students are entitled to a full refund, less a $25 cancellation fee per day, up to 30 days prior to the day(s) being cancelled. Should you choose to take a NYKC credit, the cancellation fee will be waived. No credits or refunds will be processed past this point. Refund requests must be submitted in writing and must include the child’s name, the adult’s name, the details of the program being cancelled, and the reason for the cancellation.

Holiday Camp, Spring Break Camp, and School Break Camp

Students are entitled to a full refund, less a $25 cancellation fee per day, up to 30 days prior to the day(s) being cancelled. Should you choose to take a NYKC credit, the cancellation fee will be waived. No credits or refunds will be processed past this point. Refund requests must be submitted in writing and must include the child’s name, the adult’s name, the details of the program being cancelled, and the reason for the cancellation.

Camp Early Drop Off

Camp Early Drop Off is non-refundable. You may switch to early drop off on another day/time; the switch must be done by 4pm the day prior to your scheduled early drop off day. You may also take a NYKC credit.

Birthday Parties

Birthday party deposits are non-refundable nor transferable to other programs or families. The balance of a party cancelled less than 24 hours prior to the start of the party is also nonrefundable nor transferable to other programs or families. Partial refunds for guest list changes will not be given once the party balance is charged.

Play Packs

Play Passes are non-refundable. They are valid for one year from purchase date and may be transferred to or used for friends and/or family.

Events

Event registration for Pajama Parties, Weekend Camp, Seasonal Events, and Parenting Workshops is non-refundable. You may switch to an event on another day/time or to a different type of event. You may also take a NYKC credit.

Summer Drop-Ins and Summer Afternoon Club

Summer Drop-in classes and Summer Afternoon Club are non-refundable. You may switch to a drop-in class/afternoon club session on another day/time. You may also take a NYKC credit.

Trial Classes

Trial classes are non-refundable. You may switch to a trial class on another day/time; the switch must be done by 8am on the day of the trial class. You may also take a NYKC credit.

Store Credit

NY Kids Club store credit is non-refundable and non-transferable, unless the refund period for the program from which you un-enrolled has not yet ended. In this case a refund will be given based on the restrictions of the refund policy for the program. All store credit will expire 2 years or less from the issued date.

Make-up Policies

Classes

We allow unlimited make-up classes per session. Make-up classes must be scheduled in advance online or with the front desk for any age-appropriate class and are limited to the current session. No make-ups are allowed during the first week of the session for all classes. No make-ups are allowed during the last week (two weeks in some cases) of the session for all independent participation classes.

Afternoon Club

We allow two make-up Afternoon Club days per session regardless of the amount of registered days in the program. Make-up classes must be scheduled in advance online or with the front desk and are limited to the current session. No make-ups are allowed during the first or last week of the session.

NY Preschool: Preschool Prep, 2s, 3s, and 4s

There are no make-ups allotted for Preschool Prep, 2s, 3s, and 4s preschool programs.

Summer, Holiday, Spring Break, and School Break Camps

Make-ups for camp may be available based on space availability. In order to be eligible for a camp make-up you MUST cancel your scheduled camp day no later than 8:00am on the day of the session. Should you choose not to attend your scheduled camp day and fail to call us by 8am, you will forfeit the payment for your camp day and a make-up will not be given.

After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, social security numbers, financials, etc.) will not be stored on our servers.
