Operations Director - Crystal Roberts

With  nearly a decade of experience instructing kids and a background in artistic and business administration, Operations Director, Crystal Roberts oversees New York Kids Club operations, client relations, community partnerships and administration making sure customer service is tops in the industry.

“Every day is different,” says Crystal of her job. “Some days I’m visiting our locations and making sure that expectations are being met in terms of administration, organization, and upkeep.” Frequently, she spends time chatting with parents, getting feedback on their experience, and helping them decide on schedules, class levels, and of course, on birthday parties.

A former party leader herself, Crystal sets the standard for the hundreds of celebrations NY Kids Club hosts a year, each of which is a well-choreographed production in itself. She loves supervising the growing array of options and themes the New York Kids Club offers for kids’ special days—and makes sure to inspire the teams to maintain the attention to detail that parents have come to expect.

Crystal, a Midwesterner, Butler university graduate and former Indy 500 Princess, notes that New York City kids set the bar particularly high for the staff. When she’s hiring the administrative team, she looks for people who can keep pace with “new ways of staying innovative and creative.”  She and her staff apply this philosophy to everything from the scheduling process to orchestrating smooth transitions between classes.
 
Some of Crystal’s favorite parts of her job are peeking in on ballet, music and Broadway classes. An accomplished performer in her own right, Crystal loves the way art can bring out the best in children. “We’re helping to introduce children to activities they’re going to treasure for the rest of their life,” she says.
